This by Luigi Ontani is a work on canvas and therefore in itself rare as Ontani prefers watercolor on paper. This work was made to celebrate the Egyptian Museum of Turin. The work is a polyptych, therefore it is divided into six elements which are assembled according to a logical order. The stylized figures, made using gold, refer to the Egyptian hieroglyphs while the dense signs, similar to the greek fret, refer to the friezes of some Egyptian tombs. Ontani's choice to make the background of the canvases magenta red particularly highlights the golden graphic signs.
