Enrico Baj expresses his full creativity in his "Felts." Created in the 1990s, Baj uses felt, a common filling material in furnishings and even in tailoring, as a canvas on which he applies bright, textured colors. The figures he depicts are masks or animals. The masks are closer to those of Greek tragedies than the tribal masks that constitute a significant portion of Baj's artistic output. The animals are essentially reptiles. The works are completed with collages of various materials, small elements that act as both background and finishing touches.
