Riccardo Guarneri exhibition

It is now visible on our website www.galleriaincontro.it/en/mostre/riccardo-guarneri the exhibition of the artist Riccardo Guarneri prominent exponent of Analytical Art. The exhibition consists of 12 works all performed on paper of the same size and weight. It was not possible to exhibit multiple works for problems related to the coronavirus pandemic. Since it is not clear when the restrictions on people's movements will be lifted, we have decided to set up the exhibition with the material available and download it on the site. The exhibition is set up in our gallery that we remember is the Galleria d'Arte L'Incontro of Chiari (BS) Italy. The exhibition includes works all from 2019 and, although it is small as the number of works on display, it is enough to have completeness of the work of Riccardo Guarneri. The works are all played on the light-color rhythm, in the sense that the color degrades softly in another color, similar, and the light, white, goes off in the color it encounters. In addition to the usual lines that delimit and blur the color fields, in these works Guarneri also inserts geometric elements, the square, the rectangle, the circular sector, but they are not perfect geometric elements because the purpose is not the study of the element itself, which was the prerogative of Albers or Max Bill, but the chromatic balance of colors enclosed by the same elements. Finally, in some works we also find writings with a small, incomprehensible calligraphy. More than a writing it is a tapestry type composition that is incomprehensible by choice. The purpose of Guarneri is to attract the attention of the viewer because an overview of the exhibition is a succession of light and color, also of light colors, algid, which captures but together does not deepen the themes of each individual painting. You can be kidnapped or stunned by the flow of the eye on the exhibition, the writing then is a trick invented by Riccardo Guarneri, an invitation to focus attention on the single work.
